Manager's Prevention Checklist

Purpose

This evidence-based assessment helps managers identify early warning signs of team burnout and implement preventive strategies. Based on Maslach Burnout Inventory principles and organizational psychology research.

Part 1: Team Warning Signs Assessment

Check any signs observed in your team over the past month:

Increased absenteeism or tardiness
Team members calling in sick more frequently or arriving late
Decreased engagement in meetings
Less participation, fewer ideas shared, minimal discussion
Quality of work declining
More errors, missed deadlines, less attention to detail
Increased conflicts or tension

Cynicism or negative attitudes
Pessimistic comments, lack of enthusiasm, withdrawal
Physical exhaustion signs
Visible fatigue, complaints of headaches, looking drained
